Beaver score another conference win

McKeesport, PA - The Penn State Beaver men's basketball team is now 13-1 in the PSUAC after a win over Penn State Greater Allegheny, 93-66.
Beaver jumped ahead in the first five minutes of play, but Greater Allegheny worked its way back into the game. Beaver held a 6-point advantage at the half.
In the second half, Beaver turned it up offensively and defensively, scoring 49 points and holding Greater Allegheny to only 28 points for the half.
Beaver freshman Chris Weathers (New Brighton High School/New Brighton, PA) had a career high of 22 points, and freshman Nick Miller (Beaver Falls High School/Beaver Falls, PA) added 16.
Senior Billy Stoughton (Slippery Rock High School/Slippery Rock, PA) and sophomore Rich Gaston (Shenango High School/New Castle, PA) pitched in 13 and 12 points, respectively.
The team returns to the court tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. when it hosts PSUAC rival Penn College in a battle for first place. If Beaver wins, the team holds onto its No. 1 spot in the PSUAC.
