Beaver tops Fayette in 79-57 win

Unionville, PA - On Monday, the Penn State Beaver men's basketball team defeated Penn State Fayette, 79-57, to improve to 8-1 in the PSUAC.
Beaver went into the break with a slim 35-26 advantage and didn't take a significant lead until midway in the second half. The team's bench proved to be a valuable asset down the stretch, outscoring Fayette's reserves, 33-21.
Beaver junior Tony Houghton (Perry Traditional High School/Pittsburgh, PA) led the pack with a 14-point performance while senior David McGarry (Poland Seminary/Poland, OH) and sophomore Rich Gaston (Shenango High School/New Castle, PA) each added 13 points in the win.
Beaver is now 8-8 overall. On Wednesday, Jan. 26, Beaver is back on the road to take on Penn State New Kensington at 7:00 p.m.
