Monaca, PA- The Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions defeat Penn College and continued their winning streak at home.
The Lions came out with a major lead at the start of the first half, controlling the ball majority of the time. Beaver's Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, PA / Penn Hills) and Chris Weathers (New Brighton, PA / New Brighton) combined both put up close to 40 points in the first half, giving Beaver a significant lead going into the second half.
In the second half Beaver would push their lead to 30, never allowing Penn College to get within a 10 point trail. Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, PA / Beaver Falls) would add 16 points in the half, giving Beaver the win, 99-69.
Beaver now has a record of 11-3 overall (6-0 conference record). They face Penn State Wilkes-Barre tomorrow at 3 p.m.
With Spirit Night coming up on February 5th, where Beaver goes head to head with Penn State Fayette, Beaver hopes to take the number one spot in the conference.
