Unionville, PA - Penn State Beaver hosted Penn State Schuylkill on Saturday, where Beaver took the field with confidence in which they defeated Schuylkill 6 goals to 1.
Beaver lead from the moment the game started, scoring after only 6 seconds, a perfect pass from Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, PA/ Penn Hills) set Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/ Perry) up for what was going to be a long afternoon for Schuylkill. Beaver absolutely dominated the whole of the first half by having 17 shots at goal and keeping Schuylkill at arms length by letting them only have 8 shots.
The second half is where the action begun, Smith had scored his second goal of the game 1 minute into the second half at the 46:36 mark. Beaver continued to be the greater attacking force when Julius Illiano (Harrisburg, PA/ Central Dauphin) scored their third goal at the 52:28 mark from the penatly spot. Illiano scored once again 4 minutes later where he put away Beaver's fourth goal of the game. Schuylkill pulled back consolation goal at the 61:45 mark through Cole Schwalm, but Illiano responded back by an from Logan Ridgley (Fombell, PA/ Riverside) at the 65:09 mark, giving Illiano a hat trick. The game was all over it with when Wright scored from an assist from Ryan Christy (Burgettstown, PA/ Burgettstown) at 88:07 mark. Beaver ended the game with 33 shots compared to Schuylkill's 13 overall.
