Dubois, PA -- Lady Lions improve their conference record to 6-1 with a win on the road at Dubois.
In the first quarter of the game, Beaver was able to build an early lead giving them the advantage of playing with a small cushion. At the end of the first ten minutes of play the score was 22-16 in favor of the Lady Lions. Dubois narrowed the Beaver lead in the second quarter, only being outscored by three points (16-13) in the quarter. But Beaver was able to carry a nine point lead into halftime as the score sat at 38-29.
In the second half, Dubois continued to test Beaver as they outscored our Lady Lions by 2 points in the third quarter, 24-22. With the score at 60-45 going into the fourth and final quarter, the cushion from the first half of play was enough for Beaver to easily take the win by a final score of 81-69 as they outscored Dubois 21-16 in the fourth.
The Lady Lions will return to action on Saturday, January 23rd at 5:00 p.m. as they host Kent State Tuscarawas. Saturday is also Penn State Beaver's annual Spirit Night, come support your Lady Lions and meet the recruits of the 2016-17 recruiting class.
